Hi, my name’s Yasir and I’m a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal. In addition to being an educator, I am a person with many hats as I worked in administration and technical areas in the past.

- Delivering Technical Courses: taught both ad- vanced programming and introductory courses that used Java / C++. Also have directed and delivered web-based systems that included full-stack develop- ment of a web application.
- Head of Academic Advising Unit: working and managing student/staff tasks on college-wide level, organizing time-tables of student sections and regis- tration process.
Responsibilities included keeping track of details of the progress of ongoing gas well projects at the unit, archiving past projects.

Research focused on energy behaviour analysis of CPUs for multi-paradigm programming languages such as C/C++ and Haskell for parallel applications, and energy prediction using multiple methods e.g. meta-heuristics and statistical modelling using R.

Graduated with a merit and a mark of 67 in the dissertation module. The dissertation focused on comparing two different artificial intelligence theories (subsumption and perceptual control theory).
